About Battipaglia Women

PB63 Lady is a women's basketball club from Battipaglia ( Salerno ). It plays at PalaZauli . It is part of the Polisportiva Battipagliese ASD , which also includes the men's section and a large number of youth teams. .

The team was founded in 1963. In 2008, the history of the women's section began final , promoted in spring 2009 after the Serie B against Rescifina Messina in Serie B d'Eccellenza . In 2009-'10 it presents itself with large investments to try to get promoted , which she achieved after the surprise final victory against the other Battipaglia team, Carpedil . He made his debut in Serie A2 in 2010-11 , sponsored by Ciplas .

The 2012-13 season continues in the name of continuity with the confirmations of Riccardi, Granieri and Di Battista. It is worth highlighting the inclusion of Giulio Pierri in the management team.

In 2013-2014 , the team finally obtained its first historic promotion to Serie A1 Femminile, winning the play-off against Torino. Since then, the team has played seven consecutive seasons in A1, with two participations in the Scudetto play-offs and the best result achieved in the quarter-finals of the 2015-2016 championship .

On March 28, 2016, the under 20 team won the national under 20 title, for the first time in the history of the club, beating Reyer Venezia in the final at the PalaDozza in Bologna. The under 20 team was led by coach Massimo Riga . At youth level, the team distinguished itself by winning another Scudetto and an Italian Under 20 Cup. .
