The Western Force is an Australian professional rugby union team based in Perth, Western Australia. The team competes in Global Rapid Rugby as well as Australia's National Rugby Championship.
The Force previously played in Super Rugby from 2006 to 2017. As the fourth Australian franchise to join the competition, the Force played for twelve seasons in Super Rugby, with their highest finish being seventh place. In 2017, the Australian Rugby Union decided to reduced the number of Australian Super Rugby teams and the Western Force lost their licence to participate in the competition at the end of that season.
