About Michael Wright

Michael Wright is the son of a teaching professional (Gary). Turning professional in 1999, Wright has played on the PGA Tour of Australasia, the Asian Tour, the Japan Tour and the One Asia Tour at various stages of his career and has played in two Open Championship at Hoylake in 2006 and Turnberry in 2009.
He has won many pro-ams especially on the Sunshine Tour of Queensland but his 72-hole victories came at the 2005 Toyota Classic in NSW, the 2005 NSW Open and the 2011 Victorian PGA Championship. He was runner-up at the 2010 Thailand Open and the 2012 South Pacific Open.
