About MJ Viljoen

As an amateur, MJ represented Ekurhuleni Golf Union at the Junior IPT for two consecutive years. He earned his Altron Big Easy Tour card at the 2014 Sunshine Tour Qualifying School. The next year, MJ earned his Sunshine Tour professional card at 2015 Qualifying School. He retained his Sunshine Tour card throughout 2015 for the 2016 season.
He won his maiden Sunshine Tour victory in the Sun International Fish River Sun Championship 2017 and his second win came in the SunBet Challenge Hosted by Wild Coast Sun in 2022. He boasts three second-place finishes on Tour and a total of 22 top-10 finishes.
