About Sam Smelt

Sam Smelt made his debut in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship in 2018, having been a part of the series’ support package in the form of British F4 during the year prior. Earlier in 2017, Smelt competed in six races in the Volkswagen Racing Cup.
Following a two-year switch to the British GT Championship, where he secured a best overall finish of eighth driving for Speedworks Motorsport, Smelt makes his BTCC return with the same squad in 2021, piloting one of Toyota Gazoo Racing UK’s pair of Corollas.
