About Nathan Smith

Nathan James Smith (born 3 April 1996) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for EFL League Two club Tranmere Rovers.

He turned professional at Port Vale in June 2014, and spent the 2014–15 season on loan at Stafford Rangers and the 2015–16 season on loan at Torquay United, winning the Player of the season award at Torquay. He made his Football League debut for Port Vale in August 2016, and went on to win the club's Player of the Year award for 2016–17.
